TASKS INCLUDE:
Processing three way matching of purchase order, packing slip & receiving report, and invoice for payment, identifying discrepancies, working with purchasing departments and vendors to resolve discrepancies, creating and monitoring AP Aging, and paying vendors via ACH, credit card, check or online payment
Tracking of prepaid expenses through to fully received and expense recognition
Identifying capital expenditures, so assets can be created in the books
Maintaining vendor physical and electronic files, verification of vendor bank details, and fostering vendor relationships
Monitoring credit card balances, distributing staff credit card statements, and processing credit card transactions for GL coding
Consistency in handling, presenting, and storing data
REQUIREMENTS:
Previous mid to high volume accounting experience
Proficiency with Excel
Excellent communication internally and externally
Confidence meeting deadlines and expectations
A knowledge seeking, problem solving approach
This is a full time role, Monday – Friday, 9am – 530pm in our Lincoln Park office.
