Responsibilities
Provide recruitment and community outreach to benefit staffing as well as support Human Relations efforts
Handle HR Tasks including Leaves of Absence, Stay Interviews, ensuring onboarding evaluations are processed, employee tracking for various needs, compliance items and assisting with the structuring of the new department.
Work in both unstructured and structured environments in a newly developing Human Resources department in partnership with the Senior Executive Assistant/ Human Resources Specialist.
Successfully interact and engage with employees and other constituents of all levels daily.
Make sound daily decisions with or without the collaboration of the VP of HR using factual information based on data and metrics.
Qualifications
Minimum one year of Human Resources Specialist experience
Minimum one year of general recruitment experience
Knowledge of compliance and labor and employment laws
Familiarity with addressing employee concerns to create an engaging work environment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong computer proficiency is required including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Outlook, electronic file management, zoom, teams and various email applications. Knowledge of HRIS platforms desirable.
Strong interpersonal, relationship building and leadership skills required. Ability to create and maintain excellent relationships with all constituents of various backgrounds, skills and personalities; excellent customer service
Candidate must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal with constituents with diverse experiences including staff, volunteers, etc. Ability to take and understand direction quickly.
Excellent listening skills, empathy, and emotional intelligence
Ability to establish high level of credibility. Ability to build rapport with all employees and work with superior integrity and ethics.
Strong problem-solving skills required; Ability to analyze, identify and resolve issues proactively. Must be resilient, solution-focused and structured in achieving objectives with all as well as able to positively manage, motivate and organize self and others to complete work.
Ability to occasionally work a flexible schedule based on program needs, including evenings, weekends and holidays if needed.
Candidate must be able to travel between the Agency’s various sites; valid driver’s license, good driving record and a registered and insured vehicle required.
Compensation
$35 per hour, full-time
