Position Summary:
This position is responsible for but not limited to preparing and managing timely annual 1099 and 1042 tax filings. Maintaining the enterprise-wide vendor master list. Managing the agency financial services department which is responsible for agent commission payments. Production of ad hoc month-end entries as well as reconciliations. Key liason with other departments and accounting guidance.
Position Responsibilities:
Ad Hoc Projects and Analysis
Process Re-Engineering or existing accounting processes and procedures
Quarterly and annual audit responsibilities with internal and external auditors
Annual 1099 and 1042 filings via 3rd party service provider Sovos
Tin Matching / B-Notices / Responses to IRS
Tax Withholding registrations and filings.
Manage Enterprise-Wide Master Vendor Listing
OFAC compliance reporting
Agent Commission responsibilities
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance.
Position requires 4-10 years of total finance/accounting experience with progressive responsibilities.
Property and Casualty Insurance experience is preferred.
Prior supervisory experience is preferred
Working with offshore team members is a plus
Proficiency in Workday is preferred.
Excel proficiency is required.
Access skills are a plus.
