Position Summary : The AP/AR Associate contributes to the success of the organization by maintaining great relationships with customers and vendors by timely and accurately processing financial information.
Key Roles / Responsibilities :
Maintains great relationship with your customers including the vendors, suppliers, contractors, and tenants as well as other employees within the organization.
Processes all invoices including obtaining proper approvals, coding, entering and payment of the invoice.
Maintains compliance with IRS for 1099 filing requirements.
Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
Prepares customer and intercompany invoices.
Prepares and reconcile monthly customer statements.
Assists with collecting of invoices.
Maintains historical records by filing documents.
Protects organization's values by keeping information confidential.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
High School graduate or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
3 - 5 years' experience with Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems helpful, but not required.
Possesses strong organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple tasks.
Recognizes confidential information and maintains it in accordance with standard procedures.
Background check and pre-employment drug testing will be required of all candidates considered for this position.
Must work independently and as a member of team.
Working Conditions :
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Positions self to install equipment, including under desks.
Moves throughout the building to access files.
Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.
Must be able to complete tasks even with frequent interruptions.
Must be able to use discretion and independent judgment as needed.
Must be able to speak clearly on the phone and to fellow workers.
