IT Business Analyst

MUST BE LOCAL TO THE COLUMBUS, OH AREA AS THIS POSITION HAS A HYBRID WORK SCHEDULE. NOT 100% REMOTE
The person in this role should be someone who is seeking and is excited by new

way IT and digital services are delivered.
Responsibilities Responsibilities of the Business Analyst will include:
Lead cross-functional business process re-engineering teams and continuous
improvement efforts.
Document requirements, user stories, prepare use cases, process maps, data
flow diagrams, and conduct unit and functional testing.
Provide knowledge transfer and training to development, testing and business
users on new functions regarding the Legal system.
Evaluate potential software or hardware solutions, including off-the-shelf and
open source components, and the system architecture to ensure that they meet
business requirements.
Ability to prepare use cases, process maps, data flow diagrams, conduct unit and
functional testing
Assist in preparing documents for the acquisition of equipment, materials, and
services, coordination of the submittal and review process, and analysis of
various types of contracts, Software and Business Applications, Hardware and
Network Infrastructure, Professional Services, and Memorandums of
Understanding.
Required Skills Experience with requirement gathering and analysis methodologies
Ability to interface between technology teams, support teams, and business units
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to understand and translate specifications between technical and nontechnical stakeholders
Analytical skills to conduct requirement analysis and impact analysis.
Logical thinking and decision-making skills
Knowledge of information technology, software applications and architectures
Experience with Agile Scrum toolsets (JIRA, Trello, etc.)
Experience with testing toolsets (Client ALM, Octane, Quality Center, etc.)
Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle
Functional knowledge of traditional Project Management and Agile
methodologies
Four years minimum of working in legal business analysis, data mining or
information related field
Bachelor's degree in business, information technology or related field
Desired Skills Experience working on State and/or Local Government projects
Demonstrated ability and desire to work in a multi-disciplinary team in a dynamic, open environment
