This role will play a critical role in preventing data breaches, protecting their confidential information, and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations. This is a long term contract, with the possibility to hire, reporting periodically onsite to our client location in Chicago, IL.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred.• Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) are a plus.• Minimum of 4 years of experience in data loss prevention, information security, or a related field.• Proficiency in DLP tools, such as Symantec, Trellix, or Forcepoint.• In-depth knowledge of data classification, data protection, data categorization and encryption technologies.• Strong understanding of relevant data protection regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or CCPA.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.• The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment • A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship • Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude
