Description
SGA provides a wide range of social services in some of Chicago's most challenged and consistently underserved communities and creates long-term and community-wide change.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Maintain the Child Plus database by entering new and updated participant information including entering data from hard copies to the database such as: health events, education events, daily attendance records, personnel records activities
Work closely with program staff to verify program and participant data by reviewing, correcting, deleting or re-entering data
Adhere to SGA program and Start Early timelines to ensure that documents and data are entered on a timely basis
Support the program in remaining compliant with participant and program data as outlined by Start Early
Assist with continuous monitoring, updating, data entry and completion of the Program Information Report (PIR) and provide feedback to content area staff as needed
Assist in gathering data and creating weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as needed
Independently work on multiple tasks effectively in support of program data systems
Attend Start Early Data Specialist meetings and trainings
Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Education:
High School education required; Associates Degree preferred
Experience:
Data entry or related office experience preferred?
Other: Sensitivity to cultural diversity is required. Ability to communicate and cooperate with diverse families, various professionals and community groups.
Outstanding communication, written and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Great integrity and a proven ability to operate as a team player.
KEY COMPETENCIES Competent in Microsoft Office tools and inputting services in an online database.
Bilingual/Bicultural in English and Spanish. ?
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to remain stationary 50% of the time.
Must be able to frequently move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
Occasionally ascends/descends stairs.
Frequently moves desks, chairs, tables, easels, and children's toys.
At times may be required to lift up to 25 lbs. for various classrooms and event's needs.
Frequently moves in outdoor weather conditions.
