Job Title: Senior Consultant, Events Department: Health System Shared Services | Communications and Marketing
Scope of Position
The Communications and Marketing Department is responsible for the overall image management and communications and marketing activities on behalf of the entire academic medical center. The Senior Specialist position has responsibility for specific product, service and/or functional areas within public relations and internal communications and supports the goals of those areas through communications and marketing initiatives.
Position Summary
This is a two-year term position.
Develops, coordinate and implements events related to communications and marketing programs to support strategic and financial goals and objectives of the Medical Center. Responsible for high profile corporate events representing the medical center and health sciences colleges including leader meetings, faculty, staff and volunteer recognition events, alumni gatherings as well as regional and national conferences.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related area. Minimum of 5 years professional experience. Preferably in the health care industry, events management or an academic setting. Portfolio highlighting their previous successful events. Key skills include time management, detail oriented, written, and verbal communications. Experience with computer software and event platforms.
