SUMMARY: Under direct supervision, the Human Resources Assistant will provide overall HR and administrative support to the HR department. You will coordinate recruiting activities, job ads, interview schedules, orientation scheduling for new hires and on-boarding. Act as the liaison between HR and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions. You’ll assist in creating policies, processes and documents. HR assistant skills we’re looking for include excellent organization ability, familiarity with HR software and strong communication skills. You should be able to work autonomously and remain calm under pressure. This position involves the highest degree of confidentiality, the ability to prioritize and the ability to interact and communicate effectively internally and externally.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties may be assigned:
Must have ADP Workforce Now experience
I-9 processing & E-Verify
Process background checks
Experience with employee health and welfare benefit plans
Assist with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties
Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources department
Assist with the full scope of the hiring process: posting positions, scheduling interviews, etc.
Conduct new hire orientations, and on-boarding
Coordinate required trainings for employees
Assist with the annual Open Enrollment process
Assist with the year-end duties
Assist with all Leaves of Absences and Workers’ Comp issues
Conduct or assist with ergonomic evaluations at desks or in offices
Maintain, with strictest confidentiality, all personnel files
Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)
Create HR forms using ADOBE and enter information into WFN system when asked
Ability to think outside the box and find new and creative solutions
Maintains professionalism under all circumstances
Promotes an atmosphere of trust and cooperation
Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data when asked (leaves, etc)
Properly handle complaints and grievance procedures
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE : At least 3 years' experience in HR, or proven experience as an HR Assistant, or relevant human resources position. HR Certification, at least 2 years of ADP Workforce Now experience using all features. Experience with Recruitment, SASS and Onboarding modules desired. Experience with updating IIPP binder, and OSHA 300 A log, OSHA summaries, OSHA form 301, and submission to OSHA. Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills. Ability to handle shifting priorities, work well under pressure, and follow multiple tasks through to completion. Strong attention to detail. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
COMPUTER/SOFTWARE SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE: Familiarity with an HRIS or HRMS, and experience with ADP Workforce Now required. Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of Adobe Acrobat DC Pro, Adobe Sign, MS Outlook, MS Office
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Fluent in English and good communication skills are required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must have basic math skills.

COMPENSATION: Base salary range for this full-time position is $65,000 to $95,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and various factors, including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions.
