POSITION PURPOSE :
The Project Manager works with the Chair of the Strategic Plan Implementation Committee (Chair) to manage and coordinate the successful reporting on and implementation of the strategic plan. The Project Manager is also responsible for partnering with the Strategic Plan Implementation Committee (Committee) to ensure integrity of the project plan and achievement of deadlines.
This role is a hybrid working model with 3 to 4 days of onsite activity.

PRIMARY ROLE/ ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Organize, review, facilitate, and track project tasks, and support relevant fiscal and operational reporting.
Partner with champions to ensure ongoing progress and compliance with all implementation plan obligations.
Coordinate with the Strategic Plan Implementation Committee to ensure integrity of the project plan and achievement of deadlines.
Partner with champions in the development and timely submission of progress reports.
Monitor activities of strategy task forces.
Tracks bugs, errors, enhancements, and corrections
Represents chair in meetings and makes decisions on project issues in coordination with project principals.
Assists chair and committee in carrying out work
Maintains written records to ensure accuracy
Prepares plans, timelines, documentation/information
Meets and manages all responsibilities in a timely manner
Conducts meetings, including organizing and leading meetings, producing agendas, writing, and distributing minutes, and maintaining written records for all
Responds to external queries from interested third parties
Designs, plans, coordinates, and manages the work of the chair and committee
Manages large-scale projects, sometimes multiple projects at the same time
SCOPE AND IMPACT
Assists chair and committee on issues related to the implementation of the strategic plan.
Interacts with administration, faculty, staff, key partners of the Institute to ensure coordination of activities and reporting of progress
Gathers and analyzes business requirements
Works with chair and committee in making decisions on implementation issues
Makes high-level implementation/operational decisions
Works with finance to prepare and monitor budgets and create budget reports to ensure goals are achieved.
Seeks feedback from others as necessary to ensure decisions do not conflict with business needs
Prepares and presents progress reports
Coordinates the implementation of work plans and timelines
Uses creative thinking to develop and improve processes
Prepares presentations, communications
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience required. Master’s degree is preferred.
Five years of related project management/project coordination experience is required to include at least 3 years of direct project management experience.
PMP or related project management certification preferred
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to interact and verbally communicate with groups of executives, managers, customers, ley stakeholders, and the general public
Ability to write reports and operational correspondence
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Ability to think logically in order to troubleshoot, analyze situations, and make sound decisions
