Information Technology Director

Position Summary:

The IT Director will provide strategic information technology leadership, ensuring the company's technology infrastructure supports business needs and objectives. This role emphasizes hands-on management, encouraging innovation, and leveraging the technological foundation of a growing company to reach the next level. The Director will lead a team of IT professionals to achieve both short-term and long-term business goals through effective planning, strategizing, and execution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities::

Leadership and Team Development:

Lead, coach, and develop IT personnel to create a high-functioning, efficient technology department.

Foster a culture of innovation and proactive problem-solving within the IT team.

Strategic Planning and Execution:

Translate long-term strategic objectives into executable near-term actions, including project budgets, resource plans, milestones, tracking metrics, and success measures.

Develop and maintain integration timelines and deliverables, ensuring adherence to deadlines.

Direct IT department's operational and strategic planning, including business requirements, project planning, and resource allocation.

Technical Leadership and Support:

Provide hands-on technical leadership and project management for the company’s enterprise business applications.

Analyze and update current technology systems to ensure operational effectiveness, business continuity, and regulatory compliance.

Ensure continuous and secure operation and maintenance of corporate applications and infrastructure, including security, privacy, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.

Collaboration and Coordination:

Coordinate with various departments to address specific integration needs, provide tailored solutions and execute accordingly.

Work with stakeholders to refine and improve business reporting, business intelligence, and data warehousing.

Vendor and Budget Management:

Manage relationships with vendors and consultants for sales, service, and support of all IT systems and applications.

Review contracts, licensing, and invoices for clinical MSPs and IT systems and advise on more cost-effective alternatives.

Manage financial aspects of the technology department, including purchasing, budgeting, and budget review.

Adhere to the company’s policies and procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned, including special projects.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT/IS Services, or a related field.

5-7 years of IT management experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.

Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse IT team.

Experience with project management and delivering technical solutions within scope, timeframe, and budget.

Basic Qualifications:

Proficiency in leading and motivating teams to achieve objectives.

Strong project management skills.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with all levels of the organization.

Strong presentation skills, with the ability to summarize complex issues for non-technical individuals.

Extensive knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases, and data storage systems.

Working knowledge of IT infrastructure and resourcing strategies for on-premises and Azure cloud services.

High standard of integrity and ethics; customer-focused, and results-driven.

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.

Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, supplies, and office machinery.

Frequently communicate with managers at remote locations using email and phone.

Occasionally move equipment and supplies weighing up to 15 pounds.

Frequently communicate and collaborate with co-workers in the office.
