American Airlines Customer is seeking a Technical Lead focused on Recruit, Hire and Onboard Team. This team supports all applications related to recruiting, hiring and onboarding employees.
This job is within the Employee Technology Division.
Responsible for providing technical direction and leadership in regard to the design, development, and deployment of solutions within our customer base. The Senior Developers comes up with innovative solutions for business and technical problems, creates and maintains technical specifications, as well as anticipates and acts upon issues that arise, providing alternate approaches and solutions, communicates decisions clearly, and sets the standard for highest quality of work.
What you'll do
Lead a team of developers working on Recruit, Hire and Onboard suite of products
Collaborates with leaders, business analysts, project managers, IT architects, technical leads and other developers, along with internal customers, to understand requirements and develop a strategy appropriate to the business requirements for quarterly Roadmap
Responsible detailed estimates
Drives consensus on technical approach, sets timelines, and leads cross-functional application teams from design through delivery
Maintains and enhances existing enterprise services, applications, and platforms using domain driven design and test-driven development
Troubleshoots and debugs complex issues; identifies and implements solutions
Researches and implements new technologies to enhance current processes, security, and performance
Supports the development of coding standards and adheres to best practices and security guidelines
Work closely with software architects and technical leads to ensure decisions meet long-term enterprise growth needs
Actively participate in code development

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
5 years of experience delivering SDLC solutions using ITIL / Agile / XP, or similar methodologies
2 years of experience providing technical leadership
2 years of experience in Microsoft Azure or any similar public cloud offering
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
3+ years of experience providing technical leadership
Experience with Azure Cloud and transitioning applications to the cloud
Above average t analytical and technical problem-solving skills
Above average written and oral communication.

Experience working with Agile methodologies and tools
Experience in DevOps Toolchain methodologies, including TDD (test driven development), Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment
Ability to thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment and leverage best practices
Ability to think strategically and develop tactical methods to achieve objectives and goals
Proven ability to keep multiple complex efforts moving forward quickly while exercising an appropriate level of discipline
