**Minimum Qualifications:
**
Journeyman Wireman – Minimum 5 years’ experience – Successfully completed Union Apprenticeship Program
Essential Functions/Duties:
Teach courses in accordance with college and departmental policies and procedures, as well as Basic Course Information sheets.
Prepare and submit timely grade reports and other reports on student performance as may be scheduled or required.
Organize class activities and assignments, relating them to the overall learning outcomes of the course.
Provide input and work with other faculty and staff to review, produce and/ or select course-related materials.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Extensive electrical knowledge of the subject areas for commercial, residential, and industrial construction, in which the individual is responsible for instruction. Must have knowledge of areas of discipline to be taught; Electrical Code and Practices- Level I, Rigging-Level I, Torque-Level I, Instrumentation-Level I, Electrical Code Calculations-Level II, Motor Controls-Level II, Building Automation-Level II, Health Care System- Level II, Electrical Code Calculations-Level III, Motor Controls-Level III, 2014 National Electrical Code, and Fire Alarm Code, NFPA 72
Knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of effective communication and of effective instruction.
Knowledge and understanding of the characteristics and challenges of community college students.
Knowledge and understanding of principles of curriculum development.
Computer literate and able to navigate in a Windows environment.

Qualifications:
Intrapersonal Skills: Self-motivated and able to identify, examine, and resolve issues independently from others. Hold a strong regard for guidelines, procedures and integrity.
Engineering and Technology: Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
Production and Processing: Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Design: Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Mechanical: Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Tools include: Trumpf, Accupress, Allen wrenches, grinders, break press, punch press, forklift, crane, shears and calipers
Technical Experience: Excellent mechanical skills and aptitude in supporting CNC sheet metal equipment, ability to visuals 3D parts from cut sheets. Good math skills and qualified in basic computer skills.
Computers and Electronics: Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including applications and programming such as Microsoft Office; knowledge of accounting software such as AS 400.
**Verbal & Written Communication Skills: **This position requires basic skills (ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.)
Math Skills: This position requires intermediate skills (calculate figures/discounts, proportions, area, etc.)
Arm - Hand Steadiness : The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.
Visualization : The ability to imagine how something will look after it is moved around or when its parts are moved or rearranged.
Manual Dexterity: The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
