· Security Implementation: Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access or breaches.
Monitor and audit database access to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.
· Data Availability: Ensure that databases are available and accessible to authorized users as per operational requirements.
Implement backup and recovery procedures to minimize data loss and downtime.
· Performance Optimization: Monitor database performance and implement optimizations to enhance efficiency and responsiveness.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to maintain optimal system performance.
· Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and security measures.
Generate reports on database performance, security, and availability as required.
Qualifications: Security Clearance: Must possess a current Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
Experience: Proven experience as a Database Administrator or Architect.
BA/BS + 5 years recent specialized experience, AA/AS +7 years recent specialized experience, a major certification + 9 years recent specialized experience, or 11 years of recent specialized experience.
CompTIA Security + (IAT Level II or greater)
· Technical Skills: Proficiency in database design, implementation, and management.
Strong knowledge of database security principles and best practices.
Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
· Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data requirements and design appropriate database solutions.
Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve database-related issues.
· Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and convey technical information effectively.
· Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other IT professionals.
