Job Description

Design the next generation of public safety applications, including concept review, process evolution, and effort coordination.

Taking into account user needs, jobs to be done, and expectations of target audience within public safety, modify and refine designs to conform with specifications, production limitations, or changes in design trends on public safety web applications.

Evaluate feasibility of design ideas, based on factors such as appearance, safety, function, serviceability, budget, production costs/methods, and market characteristics.

Work with cross-functional teams, product managers and developers, to provide successful UX solutions and a seamless, engaging app experience to users.

Leverage industry best practices and tools to create wireframes, flows, and prototypes to communicate design intent to stakeholders.

Understand user and system requirements, create workflows, and develop interactive prototypes for public safety web applications.

Develop detailed workflows and micro interactions for edge cases.

Create reusable design elements from design library.

Collaborate with development teams to answer queries and help understand design interactions to ensure efficient implementation.

Evaluate and prioritize UX tasks.

Collaborate with research and development team to create a usability testing questionnaire and usability testing findings to recommend refined designs and satisfying interactions.

$113,000 - 147,000 per year.

Telecommuting permitted from anywhere within the U.S. 5% domestic and international travel.

Basic Requirements

Master's degree + 2 years experience or

Bachelor's degree + 5 years experience.
