About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Advancement to join their dynamic and inspiring organization. The successful candidate will be the lead strategic fundraiser, directing all aspects of Advancement and serving as a key member of the senior leadership team. This role involves developing and leading goal-driven fundraising plans, directing individual giving, major gifts, alumni support, and corporate and individual support. The Vice President of Advancement will also be responsible for strategic leadership, collaborating with the President and key trustees, and ensuring strong momentum for partnerships and special initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of seven years of proven organizational, supervisory, and fundraising leadership experience, with a successful record in a performing arts or higher education context. Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage donors at all levels are essential.The Vice President of Advancement will be expected to cultivate and solicit high-net-worth donors, partner with volunteers to drive donor engagement, and maximize opportunities to engage alumni in support of the company. Strategic leadership, team and organizational oversight, and the ability to create a supportive and collaborative work environment are also key responsibilities. The role requires a candidate with the traits of team leadership and diplomacy, personal accountability, time and priority management, stakeholder focus, and goal orientation. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, adaptable to change, and committed to the values of equity, diversity, and inclusion. A proactive and goal-oriented approach is necessary to set and achieve fundraising goals, regardless of obstacles or circumstances.
