About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Human Research Protection Program (HRPP). The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and oversight of the entire HRPP, ensuring the highest standards of compliance for a large volume of research submissions. This role requires a demonstrated commitment to leadership, strategic thinking, and collaboration. The Executive Director will work closely with the IRB Director, Assistant Directors, and various committees to develop and administer policies, interpret and maintain compliance with regulations, and monitor the program's quality assurance processes. Additionally, the role involves serving as a subject matter expert, maintaining current knowledge of human research protection guidance, and overseeing the training of University researchers.Applicants must have a Master's degree or higher, with at least 10 years' of experience in human subject research, and a CIP (Certified IRB Professional) credential. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supervisory roles, an in-depth understanding of the laws and regulations governing human subject research, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Skills required include excellent communication, organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage a large team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, and experience with electronic data management systems and AAHRPP standards is preferred. The Executive Director will also be responsible for the administration of the HRPP budget, external reporting, and maintaining AAHRPP accreditation.
