Revenue Accounting Manager
Dallas, TX - Hybrid
One of Vaco's PE-backed midmarket clients centrally located to Dallas is looking to onboard a Revenue Accounting Manager. This role is part of an effort to build out the revenue accounting team after a recent acquisition. CPA or CPA-track highly preferred - experience with ASC 606 is required.
Company working model is hybrid (3 days) but would consider someone looking for fully remote for the right background.
Day-to-day Revenue Recognition Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606) and company policies in the recognition of revenue from various sources, including product sales, services, and contracts.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of revenue accountants, providing guidance on complex transactions, resolving issues, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue-related financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments such as Sales, Legal, and Operations to understand business activities, assess revenue implications, and address any accounting-related concerns.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve revenue accounting processes, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
Audit Support: Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits, providing documentation and explanations related to revenue recognition policies and practices.

the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
licensure and certification requirements;
office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
