As a manager of revenue and commissions, you will support organizational growth through the development of revenue models that will support data-driven strategic decisions through the provision of useful insights.
Responsibilities: Act as key contact and Subject Matter Expert ("SME") for revenue and commission accounting
Establishes analytics and methods to measure and forecast demand and market conditions, identify operational deficiencies, and develop effective, data-driven pricing strategies.
Supports research to identify internal and external opportunities to expand and optimize revenue-producing activities.
Reinforces targets, policies, and internal processes to achieve revenue generation and capture efficiencies.
Assist with audit support and directly interface with external and internal audit teams as needed
Assist with annual budget and re-forecast process
Be curious and continually seek to improve process, reporting results and control environment
Demonstrate excellent time management skills and effectively prioritizes competing responsibilities with minimal oversight
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with business partners and peers
Own revenue accounting including accruals/deferrals, contract review and ASC 606 modelling and reporting
Own commission accounting including accruals/deferrals, commission plan review and ASC 606 modelling and reporting
Own monthly, quarterly and annual analytical review for organizational revenues and commissions
Own reserves for bad debt, sales returns and similar concepts
Own Financial Statement footnotes for areas of responsibility
Own control framework for areas of responsibility
Own SOPs for areas of responsibility
Own balance sheet reconciliations for areas of responsibility
Partner with organizational stakeholders to streamline business processes and improve operating capability and reporting opportunities
Participate on special projects as assigned
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
ASC 606 and ASU 326 experience required
7+ years of finance experience required
2 + years of supervisory experience required.
3+ years of public company/Sox or equivalent experience required
Sales organization support required
Financial modeling experience preferred
Private Equity Industry experience preferred
Manufacturing and/or Distribution experience preferred
