The role
The Systems Administrator is responsible for ensuring an efficient and successful IT service for the A.G. Coombs Group nationally, whilst providing support to the Group Information Technology Manager in respect to broader IT issues as required.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Windows Server administration (general and preventative maintenance).
* Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Office, MS Teams, Planner, etc.).
* Solid knowledge of Windows 10 and 11
* VMware: Solid knowledge of virtualisation technologies.
* Networking: Sound understanding of TCP/IP networking.
* Firewall: Solid knowledge of Firewall (Palo Alto) hardware and rules management.
* Solid Knowledge of Azure MFA
* IOS and Android Tablets: Solid knowledge and understanding of mobile platforms.
* Anti-Virus: Solid knowledge and understanding of Anti-Virus technologies.
* PABX (Avaya) exposure.
* To maintain awareness of IT technologies available and to research and recommend those appropriate to the needs of the A.G. Coombs Group.
* To review user management and their usage of systems to ensure a satisfactory standard of efficiency is being obtained. Where this is not the case, to recommend actions to rectify the situation.
About you
* Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology and Microsoft certifications.
* 2 years of relevant experience in a corporate environment.
* A time spent in consultancy or a managed service environment will be well regarded.
* Knowledge and exposure to ITIL will be well regarded
* General understanding of the Building Services Industry (desirable)
* Certification and/or training in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (desirable)
* Highly develop interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work closely with managed service providers is essential.
* Strong interpersonal skills, including communication and relationship building.
* Ability to interpret work within policies and procedures.
* Ability to work to deadlines.
* Attention to detail.
Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year (commensurate to skills and experience)
