Job Description

Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Director Sales is responsible for all aspects of the customer experience, including sales strategy, revenue generation and account management. The Director will also participate in executing the corporate strategy and associated annual operating plan and participate in enhancing the company’s culture.

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop deep customer relationships with strategic accounts through their engineering, procurement, marketing, and executive teams.

Maintain relationships with customers by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; and recommending profit and service improvements.

Define the sales and channel organizations with related tools necessary to optimize revenue growth and opportunity identification.

Provide detailed and accurate revenue forecasts.

Communicate customer product requirements to support roadmap planning process.

Serve as the face of the organization to internal and external partners.

Recruit sales representatives, set objectives, train and coach them, and monitor their performance.

Travel for customer/prospect visits, trade shows, and training.

Company located in Los Gatos, CA, but remote position available for well qualified candidate.

Skills

Successful experience growing sales at a startup.

People oriented, highly successful track record of effectively managing channels.

Deeply understands all aspects of strategic selling to large and small customers as an individual sales contributor.

Effectively communicate technical information, in both oral and written form.

Experience selling pressure sensors into the industrial and medical markets is highly desirable.

Personal Attributes

Adds energy and focus to the sales team.

Significant startup cultural experience in one or more successful companies.

Thrives on winning and closing deals, but more importantly really hates losing.

Willing to travel within North America.

Must be currently authorized to work on the US (Superior Sensor Technology is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship an employment visa).

Education and Experience

Minimum 7 years progressive sales experience

Must have a BS/BA or equivalent four-year degree

Technical background is strongly desirable

Salesforce CRM experience a plus.
