JOB OVERVIEW : Develop and book future business by identifying potential leads and actively soliciting future business within specified territory. Prospect and develop new accounts. Responsible for maximizing a hotel's revenues by developing programs to increase occupancy and make profitable use of its accommodation, meeting and leisure facilities. Market the hotel to various markets using various social platforms.

REPORTS TO : Director of Sales & Marketing

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

Effectively attain assigned sales and revenue goals as well as solicitation call goals while also training/mentoring others to do the same.

Move throughout property to conduct site inspections. Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel, both orally and in written form to previous, current and potential clients.

Maintain strong visibility in local community and industry organizations as applicable. May assist in implementing and/or participating in special promotions relating to direct sales segments i.e. sales blitzes etc.

Maintain good relationships with existing clients and generating repeat business. Provides outstanding customer service when dealing with potential new customers or leads. Interact with in house guests and solicit future business or generate lead.

Complete weekly prospective calls and demonstrate a conversion rate into actual sales bookings.

Handle account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented. Coordinate various departments' participation in servicing accounts.

Develop a full working knowledge of the operations and policies of the hotel and applicable departments.

Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff.

Review future booking levels to plan dates for promotions to increase occupancy rates

Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player. Knowledge of a hotel structure and how all departments interact. Ability to effectively communicate with customers in a friendly and positive manner, in order to solicit business, meet client needs and resolve complaints. Ability to move throughout the hotel to conduct site inspections.

You should be adaptable to change in your work area and in hotel procedures with a willingness to learn new skills and/or improve existing ones, have the ability to solve routine problems that occur on the job and ask for help whenever you are not sure how to do something.

Safety & Security:

The safety and security of our guests and associates is of utmost importance to Crescent. Every Crescent associate should adhere to the hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.
