Front Desk Receptionist #Temporary

Job Summary:

The Front Desk Receptionist will be responsible for handling front-end operations of a Preventative Medicine clinical specialty practice while adhering to all FPO "Best Practices" policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

Meet and greet patients.

Answer multi-telephone lines and triage calls/messages to applicable parties.

Collect messages from answering service each morning and follow-up including taking phones on/off service at beginning and end of workday.

Review physician's participation list against patient's insurance to ensure in-network. If out-of-network, notify patient of financial liability, create No Surprise Estimate using Estimate WQ and collect payment at time of service.

Schedule office and procedure appointments using EPIC.

Access EPIC pre-registration work queues to ensure patient's insurance is secure through RTE or directly through plan prior to visit.

Check-in patient, request insurance cards, picture ID, obtain pharmacy information and pertinent lab results and medical records for patient.

Schedule ancillary visits.

Obtain at check-in HIPAA/consents and all necessary intake forms.

Generate authorization for required procedures and document in EPIC.

Check-out patient by collecting TOS payments prior to patient visit, generate patient receipts, and reconcile against daily schedule.

Perform additional tasks as needed.

Job Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

At least 2 years of experience in a medical office.

Working knowledge of Managed Care, Medicare and Medicaid insurances, including overall understanding of insurance plans, referrals and pre-authorizations.

Computer literate including keyboard skills.

Knowledge of EPIC required.

Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

Hourly Rate Ranges: $20.91 - $34.62

Note: Our salary offers will fall within these ranges based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, skill set, training and education.
