Senior Data Analyst (RetailConvergence.com, LP, Boston, Massachusetts): As member of Business Analytics team, will lead efforts to solve some of the most analytically complex questions that our fast-growing ecommerce company faces. Will analyze the trove of data that the company has access to including web traffic, sales, and customer data and applying the results into actionable insights. Will focus on marketing analytics processes, beginning at customer acquisition, and continuing throughout their lifecycle.
Specific responsibilities include:
Enable Marketers to make better informed decisions through elegant, accurate, and timely data visualizations and complex analyses.
Function as a subject matter expert on internal datasets, and key performance metrics, with a special focus on ad-tech channels and drivers of customer lifetime value.
Build and maintain dashboards to enable close monitoring of paid marketing programs, new customer performance, and identify opportunities to optimize a multimillion-dollar marketing budget.
Build and maintain statistical and datamining models that predict customer lifetime value (LTV) and purchase behavior.
Conduct statistical analysis and test business hypotheses to help institute a rigorous test-and-learn methodology to achieve desired results.
Develop consistent approaches and methodologies to automate repeatable tasks and drive process efficiencies.
Present statistical and business analytics insights from quantitative analysis and models to a non-technical audience.
Minimum Requirements:
Master’s degree in in Business Analytics, Statistics, or a closely related analytical field of study and 2 years of data analytics experience in consumer, retail, marketing, ad-tech or another quantitative field. May be gained pre- or post-Master’s degree.
Alternate Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, or a closely related analytical field of study and 5 years of data analytics experience in consumer, retail, marketing, ad-tech or another quantitative field.
Must also have:
Data analytics experience in consumer, retail, marketing, ad-tech or another quantitative field must include: a. Experience in database querying languages including SQL; b. Experience in data mining and statistical packages including R/Python or similar; and c. Experience in Tableau or a similar data visualization tool.
Background working with technology teams including engineering, business intelligence, data warehousing and data science to implement data-analytics solutions.
Strong background in databases and data warehousing techniques with the ability to create and optimize complex data queries.
Demonstrated familiarity with statistical sampling techniques, hypothesis testing, design of experiments, and applications.
Demonstrated track record multitasking over several projects simultaneously and working well within a dynamic, fast-paced, and growing organization.
Background in designing complex predictive data models and translating the findings to a business use-case.
Track record of excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a close-knit team with a collaborative spirit.
Work location:
May work from home office anywhere in the US.

Expected Base Salary Range: $110,000 - $140,000.
