The growth manager will understand, implement, and manage our GDP’s business growth strategy to enable the company to grow, thrive, and maintain a healthy financial position within the marketplace. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit who can work independently. This individual will be responsible for identifying and implementing new growth opportunities.
This role is based in San Francisco.
Key responsibilities include:
Maintain business development pipeline, tracking and prioritizing opportunities based on audience and the firm’s near and long-term strategic goals
Manage inquiries email, promptly responding to all inquiries, surfacing opportunities to assess fit with CEO and COO, and communicating next steps to necessary individuals
Conduct first-call screens for new business opportunities, solo and/or in collaboration with Partner(s), depending on the scale and relationships
Lead proposal/pitch development for new business opportunities, working in partnership with COO, President, and Partners
Qualifying new opportunities and leading new proposal development with the team
Proactive outreach to existing and new contacts within the network, leveraging timely news, updates or milestones (for contacts or within GDP)
Effectively present ideas or solutions internally/externally with an ability to command attention and manage group dynamics through compelling communications
Work cross-functionally with the management team and departments
Provide consultation to the client services team to develop new opportunities with existing clients, ranging from high-level support or hands-on execution, depending on priority
Drive the process for responding to RFIs and RFPs
Qualifications include:
BA or equivalent experience required
5+ years of experience in a customer-facing sales/business development role, managing teams and clients
Proven success in building and maintaining long-term client relationships
Experience in negotiating with customers or third-party providers
A hunger to win new business
You are someone who can work autonomously while also enjoying teamwork and sharpening each other's ideas
The ability to quickly identify, prioritize, and execute opportunities and tasks
You like solving complex problems and go to great depths to understand the underlying dynamics. See something broken? You will fix it.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience presenting to C-level executives
Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Familiar with CRM software and data analysis tools.
You are proactive and can work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The salary range for this role is $115,000 - $135,000.
Our salary offers take into consideration the skills and experience a candidate brings, pay equity across similar roles within GDP, and the market rate for similar roles outside of GDP. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant, along with the requirements of the position.
