A computer science degree (or early career background) is just the start. Your analytical talents can chart a course beyond the horizon, but you’re flexible enough to course-correct along the way. You thrive on user feedback and can communicate it to engineering and product design teams to incorporate improvements that weren’t originally planned. You’ve also managed a team before — including remotely — and possibly even other product managers.
You know your way around scalable platform tools, from customer relationship management to global CS, and the portal management where they meet. Your statistics background means your products and services never fail.
Your job’s not done until the user’s happy — no, in love — with the UX that you’ve wrought. Program management loves you, because you understand each functional area’s needs in relation to one another. Turn them into measurable product goals with your fantastic logistics experience.
You’ve had great bosses and want to emulate them; here you’ll find opportunities both technical and personal. You’ll fix issues by looking at them holistically, not as single-point snags.
