A distinguished Nonprofit Organization is seeking a Senior Accountant .The Senior Accountant will report to the Controller and Team Lead. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, general ledger accountability, and financial reporting, as well as financial profitability analysis and other special projects as assigned.
Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly financial statements, reports, and records by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information
Responsible for month-end general ledger reconciliation and analysis
Maintain bank accounts by requesting disbursements and preparing monthly reconciliations
Monitor reserve accounts and short-term fund investments
Research and reconcile all discrepancies
Assist with ad-hoc projects as assigned by the CFO
Audit and verify documents
Follow internal controls
Complete data backups
Financial and profitability analysis on a requested basis
Supervise, coach, and direct AP, AR, and junior accountants as directed by the Controller
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Must have an Accounting degree and at least 4 years’ experience
MBA or CPA certification PREFERRED
Experience in large Nonprofit
Must have experience with an Enterprise Accounting Software, NetSuite is a plus
Strong computer skills
Accuracy in daily work and other projects
Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines
Adherence to policies, procedures and instructions of Manager of Financial Reporting
Ability to maintain good working relationships with vendors
Ability to function as a team player
Compensation: $45-$55/ Hour
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications .
