About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Director, Nursing, with a focus on Hematology, Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation (HCT), and Cellular Therapy. The successful candidate will be tasked with fostering a positive work environment that nurtures staff engagement, professional growth, and interdisciplinary cooperation. This leadership role is pivotal in managing a significant team and requires a professional with a strong background in nursing, including extensive experience in an oncology setting. The Executive Director will be a change agent, adept at inspiring and coaching others, and will be responsible for the strategic and programmatic aspects of the HEM/HCT service line.Applicants for the Executive Director, Nursing, HEM/HCT position at the company must hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree, with at least one of these degrees in nursing. A minimum of 10 years of nursing experience, including 7 years in a leadership role, is essential. The role demands a candidate with national certification, a current California nursing license (or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire), and a proven track record of success in a union organization. The Executive Director will work to ensure the delivery of patient care based on the latest evidence, with a strong focus on quality and safety. Collaboration with physicians and advanced practice providers is also a key aspect of the position.
