POSITION TITLE: Vice President Operations
COMPENSATION: Competitive Salary DOE + Bonus

LOCATION: Houston, TX
SUMMARY: Directs and coaches the operational management teams in the strategic execution of projects to achieve the established business goals. This position will lead the development, coordination, and implementation of the company's strategic plan.
DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the operations management team to achieve best performance and attainment of business strategic goals.
Ensure adequate personnel resources are in place and their skills and competencies are effectively leveraged.
Expect a strong performance-based culture and contribute to performance reviews and people staffing decisions within the company.
Build a team culture throughout the company and between other business units, and departments.
Direct the execution following the established standard operating procedures and protocols of the company.
Aid the team in analyzing and resolving problems that arise within project execution, including negotiations with clients as needed.
Lead by example to foster and maintain a strong safety and health focused culture throughout all operations.
Actively mentor and develop others by providing constructive feedback and praise observed behaviors.
Foster and maintain a culture of continuous improvement.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
15+ years' experience in successful project management related to heavy industrial construction in refining and/or petrochemical industry.
Knowledge of sales/marketing processes in industrial construction and a proven track record of successful transactions are required.
Knowledge and experience in P&L financial operations, budgeting, cost control, and negotiation.
Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, presentation, and analytical skills a necessity.
Must have significant competency in business principles, leadership/human relations and be a strategic thinker.
Excellent client service skills with the demonstrated ability to identify and resolve issues, portray a positive and professional image to clients.
Requires competitive attitude while working in a team environment and awareness of competitive pressures.
Bachelor's Degree preferred. MBA is a plus.
