This hybrid role will require you to go into the downtown Portland office 1 time a week.
Job Summary
The Social Media Specialist is responsible for generating positive engagement on all relevant social media platforms for both the organization and individual lines of business. This includes increasing the follower base, tracking key performance indicators and meeting specific objectives to maintain course on the social media marketing roadmap.
Essential Responsibilities
+ Build, propose and execute social media strategies through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification.
+ Generate, edit, publish, and share content (e.g., original text, images, video, etc.) that builds meaningful connections and encourages audiences to take action.
+ Set up, optimize, and administer company profiles within each platform to increase the visibility of the organization’s social content.
+ Moderate all user-generated content according to the moderation policies of each online community.
+ Create and maintain editorial calendars.
+ Track key performance indicators by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data, metrics, insights, and best practices.
+ Continuously optimize audience engagement by responding to new information and adjusting approaches.
+ Collaborate with other internal departments to manage messaging, identify key content experts, and coordinate actions with the overall social media marketing strategy.

Experience and/or Education
Required
+ Minimum 2 years’ social media marketing experience
Preferred
+ Related experience within the healthcare and/or non-profit sector
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Knowledge
+ Solid understanding of current major social media marketing channels, how they work, and how to optimize content to engage each channel
+ Working knowledge of social analytics tools
+ Knowledge of digital content marketing, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) processes
+ Strong multitasking, deadline-driven, and organizational abilities
Skills and Abilities
+ Strong skills in social networking
+ Excellent writing and editing skills (including photo, video, and text formats)
+ Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Adobe Photoshop
+ Excellent spoken communication skills
+ Ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse groups and opinions
+ Ability to effectively plan, coach and collaborate with others
+ Strong detail-orientation and customer service skills
+ Ability to consistently take the initiative and remain positive and motivated
+ Photography and/or videography skills preferred
+ Ability to learn, focus, understand, and evaluate information and determine appropriate actions
+ Ability to accept direction and feedback
+ Ability to see, read, and perform repetitive finger and wrist movement for at least 6 hours/day
+ Ability to hear and speak clearly for at least 3-6 hours/day
