The Opportunity
Description
We're looking for a Database Administrator , working in Telecommunications industry in Ashburn, Virginia, United States .
Manage the overall maintenance, administration, monitoring and troubleshooting for Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL MongoDB and Cassandra databases.
Install and build database structures Backup & Recovery Apply patches and upgrade database versions.
Perform daily maintenance including monitoring and database maintenance tasks Query and performance tuning.
Perform on-call rotation.
Develop and maintain documentation.
Provide 24x7 production support.
Our Client
Experience Required for Your Success Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
8-10 years of experience in database administration of high availability, and critical production systems
Hands on experience in creation and maintenance of Oracle/SQL Server/PostgreSQL/MongoDB/Cassandra database instances, database design, database performance monitoring and tuning
Working experience in Oracle 19c, database backup and recovery are also required.
Oracle RAC, Oracle Data Guard experience required
Working experience with SQL Server 2014, 2016, or 2019 Oracle certification preferred
Candidate must be a good team player with strong team concept, self motivated, and excellent verbal and written communication skills required
