A law firm is seeking a Patent Development And Strategy Attorney in San Diego, CA.
Job Overview: The Patent Development And Strategy Attorney will provide clients with strategic patent counseling and prosecution services. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
Duties: Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and promptly reply to correspondence.
Provide timely, accurate, and quality work product.
Successfully meet deadlines and expectations and perform work duties as required.
Foster positive work relationships.
Comply with all firm policies and practices.
Engage in both physical and sedentary activity, such as: Working at a computer for extended periods, including on-screen reading and typing.
Participating in digital/virtual conference calls.

Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.
Requirements: Registration with the USPTO.
2+ years of experience in patent prosecution.
Familiarity with patent prosecution, client counseling, drafting patent applications, freedom to operate opinions, and due diligence.
Direct and applicable experience in a large or mid-sized law firm.
Strong analytical and writing skills.
Good business judgment.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.

Chemical engineering or chemistry degree.
Admitted to practice in CA.
