Research Analyst

SWBC is seeking a talented individual to conduct investment research and statistical analysis for investment options held within Equity Funds, Fixed Income Funds, and Real Estate Funds managed by SWBC Investment Company and prepare reports for both internal and external use. This includes the collection of significant amounts of electronic information and performing quantitative analysis through the various software applications developed for the proprietary use of SWBC Investment Company. This individual assists in creating process improvements and system enhancements that will drive our business forward and increase efficiency. The reporting deliverables are critical in that they affect business development, client satisfaction, and effective risk management. Essential duties include the following: Works directly with portfolio managers to research investments, market strategy,
Manages data from various sources and provides to portfolio managers including investment reviews utilizing diagnostic tools.
Manages data from numerous vendors to construct due diligence reports, requests for information, requests for proposal.
Conducts prospect evaluations for participant experience, participant outcomes application, plan level improvement assessment.
Tracks product and service due diligence including record-keepers, approved list of investment options, managed accounts and model portfolios, and product development initiatives.
Manages agreements and other plan sponsor level documentation to include advisory services agreements and investment policy statements.
Utilizes data from Morningstar Direct to construct investment reviews, diagnostic tools, and investment mapping reports.
Conducts product and service due diligence for investment options, managed accounts, and model portfolios.
Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field of study from an accredited four-year college or university required.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in investments, financial services, accounting, or related experience.
Proficient Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Excellent organizational and listening skills.
Strong analytical and problem resolution skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to use basic office equipment, including copy machine, personal computer, and fax.
Able to type 35 WPM.
Able to travel locally or nationally by car or plane.
Able to sit for long periods of time performing sedentary activities.
Able to stand, stoop, and kneel to file for long periods of time.
Able to push, pull, and lift up to 20 lbs. of files, supplies, documents, or other related items.
