JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Analyst with strong experience in Power BI and Snowflake to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions, turning data into knowledge, and providing actionable insights through compelling visualizations and reports. You will play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making across the organization.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Develop, maintain, and manage advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards, and other BI solutions using Power BI.
Create data models and reports that meet the business requirements and provide actionable insights.
Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and consistency of data and reports.
Database Management:
Utilize cloud data repositories to manage, manipulate, and analyze large datasets.
Optimize performance by tuning SQL queries and improving data model designs.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and other team members to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI reports and dashboards.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve existing BI solutions and processes.
Stay current with the latest BI trends, technologies, and best practices.
Proactively seek ways to enhance data quality and reporting capabilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Intelligence, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years as a Business Intelligence Analyst or in a similar role.
Intellectually inquisitive and analytically strong.
Excellent communication skills, with ability to translate, package, and present complex topics to executive leadership.
Strong work ethic and adherence to Jones’ Core Values.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Expertise in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and report/dashboard creation.
Proficiency in Snowflake, including database design, data warehousing concepts, and SQL.
Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration techniques.
Strong understanding of the Power BI platform with an ability to manage applications and recognizing the principle of least privilege.
Ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into meaningful insights.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
Experience with cloud-based data platforms and tools (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Snowflake).
Experience with low-code data tools such as Retool.
Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis.
Relevant certifications in Power BI, Snowflake, or data analytics.
