The Role
As Facilities Manager to handle all maintenance issues in the facility.
This position will manage a team of people overseeing repairs for all equipment and manage preventative maintenance as well as negotiate contracts with 3rd party service providers.
Responsibilities
Responsible for addressing operations maintenance concerns within NY facility inclusive of refrigeration, conveyors, meal packaging equipment, racking, dock doors, general building maintenance
Assess repair needs for our equipment and perform preventative maintenance.
Schedule and assign work to maintenance technicians
Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
Review utility consumption and strive to minimize costs
Manage CAPEX for construction/renovation projects.
Manage and organize maintenance tickets (Monday.com ).
Search, locate and order parts for repairs and maintain relationships with part suppliers
Train new maintenance technicians in equipment repairs if needed
Maintain and enforce standards for overall building condition and cleanliness
Abide and enforce safe working conditions for the facility and the team.
Working in conjunction with the health and safety department
Qualifications
Proven experience as a facilities manager or relevant position
Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices
Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles
Basic knowledge of Electricity and Plumbing
Basic knowledge of HVAC and Refrigeration
Experience and knowledge with a sealing machine (MAP) are a big plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Good analytical/critical thinking
BS/BA in facility management, engineering, business administration or relevant field
Bilingual in Spanish language is a plus

Pay Range for this position
$95,000 — $110,000 USD
