Principal IT Strategy and Operations (Hybrid)

Overview: The Principal IT Strategy and Operations role is responsible for managing Transformation programs and operations within the Office of the CIO and reports to the Senior Director, Office of the CIO. You will provide leadership, driving the development and implementation of innovative IT strategies to support business objectives and enhance operational efficiency.

This position is hybrid and may sit at our locations in Andover, MA, Broomfield, CO, Irvine, CA or Beaverton OR.

Key Responsibilities:

Metrics

In partnership with IT Leaders, establish a common set of IT metrics

Own the implementation of metrics with a standard cadence of reporting

Define the requirements for tooling to automate and drive efficiency in reporting metrics, including dashboards and executive reports.

Governance

In partnership with IT leaders, define the governance required to manage IT initiatives and workstreams.

Define the outcomes of the governance, to ensure continual value realization of the governance process

Implement an Inspect and Adapt process to ensure an ongoing evolution of our governance processes

Portfolio Management:

In partnership with the Senior Director, define the scope and requirements to manage the IT Portfolio

Drive delivery of the Monthly IT Business Review materials

Ensure governance and transparency around the IT portfolio, tracking health of deliverables, resources, and budget.

Drive the tooling for Portfolio management to ensure automation, transparency and efficiency.

Additional:

As needed support the Senior Director and VP, OCIO on projects and initiatives that will drive transformation. Areas of support may include budget operations, analysis and reporting, and ad hoc projects to support the overall IT transformation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, or related field; master's degree preferred.

5 +years of progressive experience in in a technology team, with a track record of driving strategic initiatives and delivering business results.

Experience with defining and driving IT related business metrics and outcomes.

Proven ability to execute IT strategies that align with organizational goals and drive sustainable growth and innovation.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to effectively engage and inspire stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset and attention to detail.

Experience leading and developing high-performing teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary Pay Range: $97,300 - $180,700 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.

Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS (or as applicable).

Benefits: MKS offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance coverage (medical, dental and vision), 401(k) with company match, life and disability insurance, 11 paid holidays, sick time, 15 paid vacation days, (6 weeks fully paid) parental leave, adoption assistance and tuition reimbursement (and for participation in any stock programs, signing bonus, etc.).
