**Job Description**
Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District, headquartered in Los Altos, California, is currently seeking an innovative, team-oriented leader to serve in the positions of Assistant General Manager Planning and Project Delivery. Appointed by the Districts General Manager, Ana Maria Ruiz, the Assistant General Manager is an integral part of the executive management team and may act as GM in her absence. While supporting the GM, the AGM Planning and Project Delivery will work collaboratively with the AGM Visitor and Field Services along with the Chief Financial Officer/Administrative Services Director to guide the development of and oversee the implementation of the annual work plans and budgets. The AGM overseeing the Planning and Project Delivery business line will possess strong technical skills and knowledge in the following areas: managing capital projects; project management; planning principles; land acquisition; public participation processes; project and operational budgeting; CEQA review; regulatory permitting; policy development; securing grants; and contracting and bidding processes. This position requires a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and six years of management experience with at least four years of increasingly responsible experience in one or more of the following areas: natural resource protection, operations, planning, public works, land management, land acquisition/preservation, maintenance of parks, open space, and/or public recreation facilities, or other related areas. The annual salary range for the AGM position is $156,910 to $195,955. In addition, an exceptional benefits package that includes CalPERS retirement is provided.
**Required Experience / Skills / Education**
This position requires a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and six years of management experience with at least four years of increasingly responsible experience in one or more of the following areas: natural resource protection, operations, planning, public works, land management, land acquisition/preservation, maintenance of parks, open space, and/or public recreation facilities, or other related areas.
