Network Engineer

The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing new network solutions and improving the efficiency of WHOOP’s current network infrastructure.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages and configures WHOOP’s CISCO LAN/WAN infrastructure and supports the network and various other infrastructures at local and remote offices.

Configures and administers firewalls.

Maximizes network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting. Investigates faults in the network.

Studies and validates network architecture by developing and completing usability test plans. Recommends upgrades.

Evaluates and reports network status to key stakeholders.

Participates in scheduled On Call rotation as required in a global 24x7 environment.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering or a closely-related field and 3 years of experience as a Network Engineer.

Experience as a Network Engineer, which may have been gained concurrently (pre- or post- Bachelor’s), must include the following:

3 years of experience working with wireless infrastructure, Cisco LAN, WAN, Firewalling/routing and related technologies;

2 years of experience configuring, upgrading and troubleshooting Network and Security Devices across Cisco series routers, switches, and firewalls and Palo Alto network devices

2 years of experience working with the following network management tools: Cisco Security Manager, Splunk and Wireshark.

2 years of professional experience working with network security technologies including IPS/IDS, NAC, IPSec VPN, Port Security, Segmentation, SSL Decryption, and Zero Trust architectures.

CCNA or CCNP

AWS Solutions Architect

Candidates for consideration will be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of VLANs, LAN, WAN, BGP, EIGRP, STP, NAT, 801.1x or 802.1x , RADIUS and TACACS/TACACS+

This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
