Description Duties and Responsibilities
Arrange transportation for shipments of frozen fish, fish meal, and fish oil to customers and between warehouses. Send loading instructions to all parties involved. Send Inbound notifications to the receiving warehouse. Process the inventory movements in SAP.
Confirm that the transportation arrangement meets the credit, sales terms, and incoterms.
When necessary, collect payment before the cargo is shipped and review L/C applications.
Ensure the product labels, packaging, and QC Test Results meet the customer’s requirements.
Actively monitor shipments to ensure original schedules will be met; keep the customer and sales representatives updated on any schedule changes.
Maintain tracking spreadsheets in shared files
Issue all required shipping and sales documents (i.e., Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Health Certificate, Quality Assurance Certificates, etc.) accurately meet the import and letter of credit requirements.
Code and approve invoices from transportation vendors.
File Shipper’s Export Declarations with US Customs prior to departure from the U.S.
Work with the Logistics Inventory Specialist to investigate inventory discrepancies and provide the supporting documentation to adjust inventory and/or present a claim to responsible party.
Actively work to quickly resolve shipment issues as they arise, calling in assistance from the Senior Logistics Coordinator or Senior Logistics Manager as needed.
Strong keyboarding skills with ability to input data quickly and accurately.
Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and excel in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Organizational skills and detail orientation.
Flexibility and ability to work with a collaborative team attitude.
Professional written/verbal etiquette and good listening skills.
Knowledge in the seafood/marine products industry is preferred.
Education/Experience Required
2 years’ experience in international and domestic logistics
Experience in export logistics is preferred
Knowledge of the seafood/marine products industry is preferred
Previous experience with order entry/AR desired
Previous experience with Letter of Credit documentation is desired
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Previous experience with SAP is preferred
Work Schedule
Anticipated hours are:
Overtime and travel may be required at certain times of the year
Salary Range: $54,00 – 71,000/DOE
