Senior Counsel What does a great Sr. Counsel do at Fiserv?
As a Sr. Counsel within Fiserv, you would draft and negotiate agreements with clients and partners; provide counsel to sales, account management, product, and technology leaders on legal and business matters; and collaborate closely with company specialists regarding intellectual property, technology, compliance, and privacy matters.
In this role, you could look forward to:
Being a part of a collaborative legal team
Working directly with business unit representatives to draft and negotiate client, partner, and other commercial contracts for merchant-facing businesses
Advising the business on legal, contractual, and risk matters impacting their areas of responsibility
Interacting with corporate specialists regarding finance, audit, tax, technology, marketing, IP, privacy, and regulatory matters
Developing and maintaining forms of contracts and other legal documentation
What you need to have:
JD from accredited law school
Licensed to practice, or ability to become licensed to practice, and in good standing with no disciplinary record, in appropriate jurisdiction.
5+ years of experience practicing law, preferably, negotiating, drafting, and redlining contracts.
What we would like for you to have:
Credit card, payments, or banking industry experience.
Experience interacting with senior business leaders, either as in-house or outside counsel
Exposure to financial services and technology contracts
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, Hawaii, New York or Washington.
