Office Assistant_

VerCap is a family investment firm founded in 2021 with over $1billion in assets under management. The company invests across a wide range of industries and makes both private and public investments. The firm is now opening an office in Brentwood, which will initially have five people staffed to it (including, hopefully, you!)

We are looking for an Office Assistant that will be responsible for greeting and welcoming guests, handling the provisioning and logistics for the office, and generally assisting as needed. This role will also support some personal assistant duties for the company’s Chief Investment Officer.

In long, our Office Assistant will be responsible for:

+ Greeting and seating in person meetings and assisting with parking validation for office guests.

+ Liaising with the building, including setting up access with security for in-person meetings and reporting any building related issues in the office and on the floor.

+ Regularly checking mail, receiving incoming packages, and assisting with any outgoing mail for the office.

+ Ordering and stocking snacks and supplies for the office.

+ Assisting with planning office events and celebrations.

+ Liaising with the Executive Assistant to the Chief Investment Officer to help with personal assistant duties, including ordering and picking up meals, taking vehicles in for inspection, and additional miscellaneous errands as assigned.

So What Kind of Folks Are We Looking for?

+ Organization and time management skills in spades. You’ll be handling multiple projects and deadlines that will require you to prioritize then re-prioritize… then… re-prioritize again.

+ Plays well with others. You will be working in a high-functioning team environment. We work together in order to win together.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to talk and write with confidence and charisma for a wide variety of audiences.

+ A mind for the details. Okay we know “detail-oriented” is on about every job description – but we really mean it!

The Specifics.

+ At least 1 year administrative experience in an office setting. (For exceptional candidates, this requirement might be waived).

+ **Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe is required.**

+ Ability to problem solve, with attention to detail and accuracy.

+ Ability to work with others in a collaborative manner.
