Job Description:
Metas Solutions has an "immediate opening" for an experienced Strategic Planning Analyst to assist client to develop regular IT strategic plans in support of the agency. These efforts and resulting plans enable leaders to identify aspirational goals and their supporting tactical activities; create alignment and engagement among staff; and communicate priorities to key stakeholders, including partners at the national, departmental, and congressional levels [aligning to national strategies (e.g., PMA, HHS Strategic Plan), promoting optimal policies and support]. As the Office's activities (e.g., DMI pilots, enhancements to enterprise platforms, cybersecurity, and cloud migration) continue to be a focus of attention for agency modernization and advancement, the Strategic Planning Specialist shall assist client in developing, implementing, and evaluating strategies in alignment with the agency priorities, priorities, and Strategic Focus Areas.
Responsibilities:
Develop office and organizational strategic plans that are coordinated and cascading, as appropriate, to achieve agency outcomes.
Conduct leadership retreats to evaluate and refine strategies.
Create action plans for implementation across offices.
Execute change management and communication activities to support strategic plan development and implementation.
Establish approaches and/or tools for tracking and reporting progress against strategic plans.
Evaluate effectiveness of defined strategies and performance, provide recommendations for iterations of future plans.
Develop an annual report of accomplishments.
Facilitate and draft an IT and Data Strategic Plan.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Strategic Management, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
Minimum of 7 years of related experience in strategic planning, IT management, or a similar role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in change management and strategic planning methodologies.
Experience in developing and implementing IT strategic plans.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
