Southwest Construction Services is a Texas-based construction company founded in 1993. We specialize in Sawing, Waterproofing, Concrete, Architectural Flooring, & Demolition. Southwest Construction is seeking a Safety Field Manager to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for reinforcing safety awareness in a manner that promotes cooperation and improved morale. The ideal applicant will have a strong work ethic, organizational skills, and a desire to be a team player. Additionally, the applicant should have previous experience in a Safety role.
Job Responsibilities
Assist in the documentation and implementation of required or desired changes in the safety program.
Conduct safety meetings, trainings, and new hire orientations.
Schedule jobsite visits and safety audits.
Control hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee practices through site visits, safety plans, and education of all supervisory personnel.
Accompany all safety, health, and insurance inspectors on walkthrough inspections.
Conduct auto investigation reports.
Assist in personal injury investigation and takes injured employees to company occupational clinic.
Ensure full compliance of safety plan.
Create a working atmosphere that promotes openness, high levels of enthusiasm, and morale in the field and with the safety staff.
Schedule meetings with the assigned department supervisors to improve morale and safety needs.
Review documentation to ensure all required records and reports are complete, accurate, and submitted per established procedures.
Write job specific safety plans.
Assist in management of Workers Compensation, Auto and General Liability claims.
Ensure that all training is organized and filed accordingly.

Proficiency in conducting safety trainings and presenting information in a clear and concise manner.
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
Job Requirements
Bilingual in English & Spanish – REQUIRED
5 years of general construction safety experience
Up-to-date OSHA 500
Certified CPA First Aid – trainer status preferred
Equipment Trainer preferred (Heavy Equipment)
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
