Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an Accounts Receivable Manager on behalf of a healthcare nonprofit based in Los Angeles, CA ! This is a permanent hire opportunity offering a full-time onsite work schedule.
The Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager plays a pivotal role within the Fiscal AR team by directly managing the accounts receivable across various lines of business within the organization. Responsibilities include supervising billing follow-up and denial management, overseeing business office operations, and providing guidance to billing staff. The AR Manager is tasked with enhancing team performance through staff development, ensuring work integrity, implementing continuous process improvements, and monitoring performance levels.

Annual salary range of $115,000-$120,000, depending on experience, and a robust benefits package!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees the management of the organization's accounts receivable and business office systems.
Directs AR follow-up and Denial Management activities to meet financial, productivity, and quality objectives.
Collaborates with the AR Director to identify training needs related to system education, industry updates, and procedural changes.
Works alongside staff to maintain productivity and quality standards.
Utilizes reporting and analytics to monitor key performance indicators and detect opportunities for process enhancement.
Delivers excellent customer service to residents and both internal and external customers.
Establishes and monitors compliance policies and practices.
Sets goals for the Fiscal AR team.
Stays informed about industry regulations, Federal/State laws, and best practices in revenue cycle management.
Provides regular feedback to the AR Director on AR performance and ongoing improvement efforts.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Acts as a coach and mentor to assigned staff.
Participates in orienting and training newly hired team members.
Designs ongoing training initiatives to improve employee skills, knowledge, and productivity.
Provides leadership and guidance to foster a work environment conducive to creativity and exceeding performance standards.
Monitors and evaluates the performance of supervised staff, addressing concerns and taking corrective action as needed to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
Ensures staff compliance with all policies and procedures, recognizing exemplary adherence and addressing noncompliance appropriately.
Makes essential decisions and takes actions necessary for the daily operation of the supervised work area(s).
QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in supervising or managing healthcare revenue cycles.
Demonstrated capability in building and leading a proficient team for accounts receivable follow-up and managing denials effectively.
Proficiency in skilled nursing facilities (SNF), medical insurance billing procedures and comprehensive understanding of various insurance plans including HMO, PPO, Medicare, Medi-Cal, Medi-Cal Managed Care, and indemnity plans is essential.
Prior experience with SNF billing systems is required, familiarity with Matrixcare software systems is a plus.
Exceptional organizational, time management, and communication skills are a must.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
