Position Summary...
What you'll do...
Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in Software Engineeringandapply this to the development ofaction plans.Analyze business problems to design solutionsand/or implementsand test complex code changes for specific requirements orapplication. Deliver high quality code for the product requirements inanagile scrum sprint.
Investigateand fix software defects.
Assureapp stabilityand code coverage by writing Unitand Functional tests.
Collaborate with platform team membersacross web, iOSandAndroid toalign on solutionsacross platforms.
Utilize industry open-source research, tools,and practices to improve Walmart technology environment.
Design complex systems whichare scalableand fault tolerant. You will reasonabout trade-offs (timeliness/accuracy/resource usage) of multiplealgorithmic solutionsand to highlight the difference in product outcomes.
Implementapplication which meet throughputand SLAs requirements. Implement unit test cases, perform code reviews,and write feature documentation. Perform build, deployment,and continuous integration processes to move the codeand configurations from local development environments to QA& Production environments.

What you'll bring:
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering orarelated subject
Experience withaconsumer facingappand eCommerce or retail shopping
Previous knowledge of
Designingand developingadvancedapplications for theAndroid platform
Unit-testing code for robustness, including edge cases, usability,and general reliability
Work with outside datasourcesandAPIs
Experience translating wireframes into pixel-perfect views
Knowledgeableaboutanimationand screen transitions
Experience withAndroid SDK, Services,and various methods of background processing
Experience working with remote dataviaREST, JSON, Google Cloud Messaging,and the HTTP protocol
Experience with Google PlayAPIs: Maps, Location,and Cloud Messaging
Experience with third-party librariesandAPIs
Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycleand writing readable, maintainable, performant object-oriented code
Experience working with Kotlin, Coroutines, MVVM, MVVM Clean, View Models, Repository Design pattern,and otherarchitectures
Experience with React Nativeaplus

Asa Senior Software Engineer, you will beable to designand deliver readable, maintainable, testable, scalable, reusable,and efficient code. You’ll havean opportunity to work inanAgile team with Engineers, Designers,and Product Managers to solve most excitingand challenging problems. Collaborate with Backend teams to design effectiveand understandableAPIs. Follow establishedarchitecture patternsand suggest improvements. You’ll have opportunity to manage the complex challenges of micro serviceand scale whichare unique to Walmart’s e-commerce, stores,and omni-channel platform, while using your expertise in coding,algorithms, complex triagingandanalysis,and large-scale system design.
