Communications Director
Lewis James Professional is a woman-owned staff augmentation, project consulting and direct hire search and placement firm. We are currently seeking a Communications Director for a direct hire opportunity with a financial services client.
Responsibilities:
Establish and implement a public relations strategy and plan to foster an accurate, consistent, and positive corporate image and serve immediate and long-term business goals.
Establish and implement a media relations strategy to lead media relations.
Oversee all outbound and inbound media efforts.
Build and leverage connections with key media organizations and journalists through creative mix channels.
Create narratives that reinforce the bank’s brand and strengthen connections and trust between the company and its stakeholders.
Serve as the company spokesperson and handle media inquiries strategically responding to public relations matters that pose a reputational risk.
Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in communications.
Understand the competitor landscape and threats to the bank’s brand position.
Qualifications:
Create and execute public relations and media strategies and plans.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop messaging and content for various communication channels.
Responsible for outbound and inbound media efforts, including press releases and interviews.
Create content for executives and key leaders for interviews, speeches, meetings and events.
Monitor, analyze and document media coverage on the company and competitor activity to provide regular reports to management.
Work closely with social media team on content.
Establish and manage strategies to mitigate reputational risk in crisis situations.
Established relationships with media organizations and journalists.
Experience with traditional, digital, and social media channels.
