Who we are looking for:
A motivated, self-starter to join our dynamic team as a full-time Director of 3PL Business Development. This is a critical role in the Sales team responsible for securing new business, through a consultative methodology, within the Third Party Logistics (3PL) vertical to increase market share as well as meet and exceed revenue growth. This is an independent contributor position.
Your primary duties will include:
Executing against sales strategies to drive explosive growth through lead generation, prospecting, client visits, participation in conferences and trade shows, contract negotiations, and SOW development.
Other responsibilities will include collaborating with senior management, operations, marketing, client account management and production to ensure the right “sales fit” for our capabilities. This is a remote role and requires 25-40% domestic travel with potential (up to 10%) international travel.
Essential responsibilities of the position will be to:
Sales Execution & Business Development
Conduct strategic business planning in assigned industries/verticals
Successfully execute against sales and business development strategies
Meet quarterly and annual revenue growth goals as set by leadership
Meet monthly and quarterly outreach KPIs as set by leadership
Establish new business through continuous prospecting activities
Build and expand a strong network of industry contacts to leverage new opportunities
Attend trade shows and client meetings to promote company brand and build rapport with prospects and partners
Customer Satisfaction
Balance business and customer needs to optimize profits and customer satisfaction
Collaborate with senior management and Client Account Management teams to improve overall customer experience and increase profitability on client accounts
Innovation & Process Improvement
Drive strategy and policy improvement by collaboration and continuous feedback with sales and marketing leadership
Conduct research on emerging trends within the defined industries/verticals and capitalize on findings to identify opportunities for new products, services, and strategies
The ideal candidate for this position has (or is):
Experience on the buyer and/or seller side of the customer care function, and other related services onshore, nearshore, and/or offshore ( required )
BPO Knowledge across multiple services
Transportation and/or Logistics Knowledge ( required )
Experience with customer service technologies
A proven track record of meeting assigned sales goals, targets, and individual KPIs
Experience presenting to and working with Director, VP, and C-Suite level leadership to advance deals to closure
Experience working with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool to log and track activity and productivity (HubSpot preferred)
An ability and willingness to travel – as designated above
Experience working in a remote role
Located in the Continental US
A Bachelor or Advanced Degree (preferred)
