Key accountabilities include:
Enablement of Finance Strategy including working closely with the CFO on upcoming acquisitions, integration and improvement activities
Engage with CFO direct reports and communicate critical deliverables on behalf of CFO (i.e., timely submission of materials, quarterly functional objective submissions, HR requirements)
Perform research on regulatory, accounting, operational and capital matters
Ad-hoc financial modelling and analysis on upcoming M&A transactions, integrations and special projects.
Creation of task management methodologies enabling key actions/deadlines to be monitored across the Finance leadership team
Prepare and/or review internal and external communications
Manage Investor Relations mailbox, coordinate with analysts regarding material preparation for CFO
Prepare presentation materials with high content quality for executive management and the board
Person Specifications:
Prior experience in a Financial Reporting / Controllership capacity required with a combination of 5+ years of experience in a project management, chief of staff or corporate development capacity
CPA, MBA or Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or similar
Experience in the insurance industry with high preference for life, annuities or reinsurance experience
Advanced Microsoft Word, Outlook and PowerPoint skills
Excel skills must include the ability to create crisp charts and graphs based upon data provided
Strong experience with Adobe or PDF products
Hands-on experience with document management and delivery of materials via secure board/management portals
