Applications Support Engineer

Redaptive Inc. is seeking an experienced Applications Support Engineer to provide technical support and data validation for installing metering solutions with 3rd party electricians nationwide. In this role, you will also be critical in analyzing and resolving meter data discrepancies and developing technical solutions supporting ongoing meter maintenance operations. This position reports to the Manager of Field Engineering.

Provide technical support as an expert on metering and data systems
Respond in real-time to critical technical field challenges. Troubleshoot issues, define immediate solutions, and communicate closure
Identify long-term corrective and preventive actions. Leverage tools, training, and process changes to avoid the recurrence of issues
Verify installer compliance with installation and safety requirements
Deliver support primarily by phone, email, and videoconference, but travel to installation sites when required
Effectively and proactively communicate project needs, changes, and status to internal and external team members
Data verification & ongoing maintenance
Verify that meters are wired and networked correctly by reviewing photos and post-installation documentation and by inspecting the job site if necessary
Provide guidance and resolutions for installation/commissioning/configuration issues and concerns
Work cross-functionally to help drive corrective actions.
Work cross-functionally with teams to improve data accuracy of field concerns.
Respond promptly to address offline meter cases
Manage cases: analyze, troubleshoot, and provide timely technical solutions and statement of work documentation
Verify the scope of work completion
Qualifications/ Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field or Electrician, licensed as a Journeyman or Master Electrician preferred
5+ years’ experience working with electrical contractors, facility managers, or project managers
Basic-level technical knowledge of data networking and cellular networks
An understanding of Electrical Safety, NFPA 70e, and OSHA. Including Arc Flash Requirements and PPE
Experience in managing electrical contractors and guiding electricians
Excellent technical knowledge of three-phase electrical power systems and equipment
Knowledge of building electrical systems and controls (lighting, HVAC, etc.)
Knowledge and experience in setting up technical training programs
An understanding of project management workflow, order fulfillment, and post-sales service/support
Knowledge of gas and water systems is a plus
Technical knowledge of power meters is a plus
Knowledge of Python and PowerShell is a plus
Salesforce and Asana knowledge is a plus
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, able to tailor communication between non-technical and technical audiences
Must be detail-oriented, effectively handle multiple priorities, and have a strong quality mindset
Weekend and off-hour support required as needed
Have an ergonomically correct and functional work-from-home workstation set up; amenable to a hybrid of working from home and in an office setting in the Denver Metro Area, Colorado.
