Sales Engineer - Custom Capital Equipment

Job Description Job Description We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Sales Engineer to join our team focused on selling highly customized capital equipment solutions to enterprise clients across various industries. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding complex customer requirements, collaborating with our engineering teams to design tailored solutions, and driving the entire sales cycle from initial engagement to successful closure.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop a deep understanding of our company's product portfolio and technical capabilities to effectively position our custom capital equipment solutions.
Engage with prospective customers to understand their unique business challenges, technical requirements, and desired outcomes.
Work closely with our engineering teams to translate customer needs into detailed technical specifications and proposed solutions.
Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and proof-of-concept implementations to showcase our capabilities.
Manage the complete sales cycle, including identifying opportunities, developing proposals, negotiating contracts, and closing deals.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to customers throughout the sales process and post-sales support.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product management, and customer success, to ensure seamless execution.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge.
Have the ability to travel for customer visits and trade shows.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical sales or sales engineering role, preferably in the capital equipment or industrial automation industry.
Proven track record of successfully selling complex, customized solutions to enterprise customers.
Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to travel as required to meet with customers and attend industry events.
Experience with CRM tools and sales methodologies.
